Summer Solstice Rituals ❁ Yoga Nidra ❁ Sound Bath

You are invited to Welcome the Summer Season in movement of stagnant energy, planting intentions, and deep relaxation and release.

As nature moves out of lighter spring to the much warmer summer, the pulse of life quickens, the earth warms, and the fire element is the strongest. When our intentions are in alignment with the seasons we flow with nature instead of working against it. In Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine, the fire element is the strongest during the summer.

The event will begin the evening with tea from Samovar and transition into light Qigong movement to support the natural energies of the body. Then you will settle as a community to plant seeds for this next season. This will be followed by a flowing orchestration of healing sounds and yoga nidra to carry you into a state of grounded relaxation and expanded consciousness. Aromatherapy with essential oils will assist in the flow of energy. Together melt into a vibration of expanded consciousness, and emerge feeling well-rested and fully supported.

Kirin's mission as a yoga teacher is to remind everyone of the magic that exists all around us.. in this practice, in nature, in all of the happenings on and off the mat. Tying her love of yoga, dance, nature, music, and mantra together- Kirin’s practice is rythmic, strong, intentional, and feel-good, elevating students to step into their highest frequency, radiance, and POWER.

For all of our regular beach yoga lovers, please note! We've taken the dance element out of Sunday classes to make class a bit more zen-inspired. If you like to shake it, join us for Friday or Saturday classes.

FLOW + FLOAT :: YOGA + ACUPUNCTURE + SOUND HEALING

InTouch SF’s Jordanna Eve (www.intouchsf.com), Cypress Dubin (www.cypressdubin.com) and Lauren Marmol (www.laurenmarmol.yoga) debut a nourishing and immersive Flow into Restorative Yoga + Acupuncture + Sound Healing odyssey to call in the glowing energy of Summer at Moxie Yoga.

Begin with a welcoming meditative invocation, followed by 45 minutes of flow into restorative yoga to set the replenishing tone of our evening. Settle into potent sound meditation and ritual acupuncture, blending gentle needling with enchanting live music featuring a healing soundscape of ethereal mantra, medicine songs, Tibetan singing bowls, world and shamanic instruments-- plus live vocal interludes from Cypress’ upcoming album Altar.

Sound meditations are designed to safely guide us in connecting to our deepest Self. Sound coupled with engaged listening and acupuncture swiftly calms the mind and grounds the body. This elegant restorative practice induces deep states of relaxation and circulates blocked energy-- using the principles of entrainment (the brain's natural tendency to mirror auditory frequencies) and resonance (sound's ability to align energy in the body). Overtone-emitting instruments and voice stimulate alpha and theta brain waves, bringing our bodies into harmony. Sound immersion is a powerful form of meditation— opening us to new possibilities of rest, resilience, and life vision.

She completed her 200-hr, 500-hr, and Prenatal Yoga training with an emphasis in Yoga Therapy through The Stress Management Center of Marin. While completing her yoga studies, Rachael studied Ayurveda at Mount Madonna Institute and is a Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner. She is very passionate about the benefits Ayurveda provides and enjoys sharing her knowledge.Rachael’s teaching draws from Viniyoga, connecting breath with movement and Yin Yoga, using props to allow the body to soften and release on a deeper level. She uses breath and mindfulness as the main tools to restore and renew the body through slow poses and transitions. You will leave her class feeling rejuvenated and nurtured.
